How to Install Git on Ubuntu 18.04.
Open putty (terminal) type normally update command.

sudo apt-get update

We need to install Git package. 

sudo apt-get install git

Here may asked to confirm for installation simply Type Y (yes) and enter.
Now check Git install or not with below command.

git --version
Output:-
git version 2.7.5

Now git is correctly installed.

How to Configure Git on Ubuntu.
Configure your name or domain name with below command.

git config --global user.name "Your Name"
git config --global user.email "youremail@domain.com"

You can also check the git config file with below command.

git config --list
user.name= Your Name
user.email= yourdomain.com

That’s it! You have now successfully installed Git on your Ubuntu system.
