What is gulp.js?

Gulp is an automatic javascript tool. Gulp depend on the node.js or npm package manager. In a simple way, gulp is task runner toolkit that helps the developer to automatic time-consuming tasks.

Gulp depend on node.js or npm so first of all install node.js and NPM

First of all, run the update command given below.

$ sudo apt-get update

enable the node.js repository.

$ curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_10.x | sudo -E bash - 

Now install node.js and npm with the following command.

$ sudo apt install nodejs

Node.js successfully installed. Now install gulp.js on ubuntu With following steps.

 

Install gulp.js on ubuntu

$ sudo npm install -g gulp

Now you have successfully install gulf.  Now check installed gulp version with the following command.

$ gulp --version
Output:-

CLI version 2.0.2

Local version 4.0.0


NOTE:-

If you have already installed gulf having a problem. Run below command first then reinstall complete gulp

To remove gulp use following command.

$ npm rm --global gulp

Then reinstall it with given following command.

 

That’s it! You have successfully install gulf.js on ubuntu
